Biz M8 will host the inaugural Cybersecurity Youth Summit during the global Cybersecurity Month (October). The summit’s aim is to establish a multi-stakeholder consortium that brings together industry, government and academic interests to improve the state of our domestic cyber security.
The summit will consist of participants from both private and publics sector, bringing together thought leaders from industry, government, and academia. Our audience is designed to reflect that cyber security is no longer an IT only issue. Effective communication, understanding and collaboration between IT and operations within organizations are necessary for security. Executives, IT and Law students with a focus on cyber law, IT entrepreneurs, public policy makers, and end users will form part of the summit.
The summit will comprise of 200 delegates who will benefit from the various highly relevant, multi-focused presentations, panel discussions, Q&A sessions, workshops and opportunities to network with policy makers and thought leaders with the ICT industry. It will further examine the role of government, private sector and civil society in rolling-out e-skills to young people, young entrepreneurs to increase economic growth through job creation, the growing ICT Sector and business productivity through ICT tools. Discussions at the summit will unlock opportunities for all participants, private and civil society sector, to further develop and support SMMEs and ICT initiatives.
