Over 1 000 learners attended the 4iR Skills Career Expo at Chief Henry Bokleni Senior Secondary School in Nyandeni, bringing together government, industry, education, and tech leaders for a day of learning and opportunity.
The programme featured opening remarks by Cllr Banele Viwe Ndamase (Nyandeni Local Municipality) and Thabang Phala (CyberM8 Initiative NPC), with engagements from speakers including DCDT, the National Youth ICT Council, NEMISA, CSIR, and OR Tambo Education Department.
Exhibitions from MTN and Broadband Infraco, alongside bursaries from CSIR and SITA and digital skills training via NEMISA, gave learners direct access to real opportunities in the digital economy.
The day also included a cultural performance by Dalubuhle, highlighting strong collaboration to empower young people.
